Targeting CSS

CSS smaple Lately I've been crunching lot's of Cascading Style Sheets which involves resetting browser values to null across the board, or to a variable you'd like to have everywhere. Then it's good to think about what high-level kinds of browsers you'll be targeting; PCs, Cell Phones, etc. I tend to start splitting apart the styles so that I have as much control as possible on the front-end. At a certain point I use browser/device detection to target further based on several things including how the developers have built the application. I'll be posting some details and what I end up using later this season.

New Site

Working on this version of pxlpilot.com now. Installing a php/database album where I'll post my photography instead of hosting out at Flickr.

Welcome

August 20, 2010

I am a full-time User Experience (UX) designer with Online Resources working heavily with CSS, HTML and related technologies. Through this I manage screen flows, labeling, site hierarchy, user interface behavior (navigation, tool tips, fly out menus, error handling, etc.), overall look & feel and brand.

I heard the quote something to the effect that you don't take a trip, the trip takes you. This time the trip really took me. I'd planned a trip that takes me way up north 2 miles short of the 54th parallel, open landscapes and remote roads. That part of the plan I got. I didn't get the time I wanted though, unexpected things happen and sometimes the worst time, sometimes you get a break. I got a break and had a great trip.
